Cable management refers to a necessary action in the course of the installing the components of building services such as electrical services. The subsequent installation of equipment provides measures, to tidily secure electrical, data, and other cables. The term cable management can often be used interchangeably so as to reference products used for the aim of organizing cables or towards the workmanship applied to cables even as installation is in process. The difficulty is that these patch leads are installed, detached and reinstalled multiple times throughout the life of the installation.

Cables can easily become tangled, making them difficult to work with, sometimes resulting in devices accidentally becoming unplugged as one attempts to move a cable. Such cases are known as “cable spaghetti”.

Equipment racks are designed for 19-inch rack mount equipment. Racks are constructed of aluminum and are available in a variety of standard heights. Understanding Fiber Optic Cable Management:

Fiber optic cable management is particularly essential in powered equipment which will move large distances while tethered to a power source and control cabling. There are several common methods of cable.

With a suspended sliding coil, the fiber cables can be coiled like a spring, with each loop within the coil attached to a sliding shoe on a track. As the ca-bling is played out, the shoes slide individually across the track and then the coils expand. While sliding the opposite direction, the coils fold back simultaneously right into a compact spiral.

Folded linear fiber optic cable management uses either a flexible backbone shell or even a flat cable folded hooked on an arc alongside its long axis. This style of cabling is very common in computer printers to connect the print head into the circuitry, but can also be used in large linear moving gantries. The cables are flexed only in a small region in a tight radius and so need flexibility.

Slotted Duct Cable Management | More Multilink offers both horizontal and vertical cable management products extruded having high grade polymers.
